RAZZLE DAZZLE blinds, bejewels, shrouds, transforms.
A colloquial term for good ol’ theatrics, and the name of an early 20th century camouflage patterning, RAZZLE DAZZLE brings together artists concerned with identity, spectacle, disguise and disappearance. Through the use of patterning, colour, and adornment, these artists both emphasise and veil bodies and faces - in a social context in which many people of marginalised identities are subject to scrutiny.
In RAZZLE DAZZLE, the artists draw empowerment and strength from a control on how their bodies and distinctiveness are visually constructed. Your scrutiny is invited - enjoy the show.

RAZZLE DAZZLE takes place on the lands of the Turrbal and Jagera people. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, as well as all First Nations people of Meanjin (Brisbane) - the first artists, storytellers, communities, the Traditional Owners, and the ongoing custodians of these lands. Indigenous sovereignty has never been ceded and we work on what always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
